Following last week’s tragedy in Japan, AT&T and Verizon Wireless customers are being given a never seen before freebie. For a limited time, each of these mega wireless providers are offering free calls and texts to Japan. This is a great way for friends and families to keep track of and stay in communication with loved ones who are in the country. AT&T’s offer is good through 03/31/2011, while Verizon customers can take advantage through 04/10/2011. Of special note, residential wireline customers of AT&T can also get up to 60 minutes of free calling to Japan, but must call AT&T upon receiving their bill to get an adjustment.
